Auckland Paintball Cup: 7th & 8th March 2015

The Auckland Paintball Cup aims to change the way that paintball tournaments are held in New Zealand. We have opened the event up to allow competing suppliers to bring the best quality paint to the tournament, and have kept entry fees low to ensure it’s accessible to all teams.

Our open class will showcase the best teams in New Zealand in the Race to 4 format, while those teams that are newer and on a budget can play the more cost effective mechanical Race to 1 format.

International teams travelling to the event will have their first four boxes sponsored by our Gold Sponsors: Outpost 43, Paintball Direct NZ & Planet Eclipse.

We will be using the latest APPBF Rules, which are currently the 2012 rules and available at the Paintball World Cup Asia website.

Open Division

Open to all players classed as D1-D3 PALS, PSP and Millennium Modes capped at 12 Balls Per Second. Matches will be 10 minutes long and Race to 4.

Amateur Division

Open to all players classed as D4 PALS, strictly mechanical and and pump action paintball markers only. There is no ROF cap. Matches will be 3 minutes long and Race to 1.

Prize Pool

Open Division

1st Prize: $1500 Cash + Trophy & Medals
2nd Prize: $500 Cash + Trophy
3rd Prize: $250 + Trophy

Amateur Division

1st Prize: $250 + Trophy & Medals
2nd Prize: Trophy
3rd Prize: Trophy

More prizes to be added based on industry sponsorship and spot prizes to be given out at prize giving and official players party.

Pricing

Our aim is to keep the tournaments affordable while having a great prize pool. Entry for Open classed teams is $600 per team, while amateur teams are only $200 per team.

All paint suppliers will have a chance to supply their best quality paintballs at the event which will be available in a range of grades and prices. Suppliers will have an opportunity to sponsor their teams.

All international teams will receive a total of 4 boxes of tournament grade paintballs free of charge.

Trade Show

An open invite is out to all suppliers to take part in the tournament. We have already confirmed that Outpost 43, PaintballShop and Paintball Direct NZ will have trade stands with more to be confirmed.
